Thoracic oncosurgeons perform complex procedures such as lobectomy (removal of a lung lobe), pneumonectomy (complete lung removal), esophagectomy (esophageal removal), and mediastinal tumor excision. Advanced surgical techniques like minimally invasive video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) and robotic-assisted thoracic surgery (RATS) allow for greater precision, faster recovery, and reduced post-operative complications.
