Dr. Nidhi Rawal is a dedicated and highly experienced gastroenterologist who has been practicing as a consultant since 2011. A graduate of Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi, she pursued further training in the United States, specializing in General Pediatrics. Her professional journey includes working as a Pediatrician in the Motility Center and Feeding Disorders Program at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she developed her expertise in addressing complex gastrointestinal issues in children.
Her interest in gastroenterology led her to undertake a rigorous three-year fellowship at the University of Maryland Children's Hospital. Following her fellowship, she continued her academic and clinical pursuits as an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. During this time, Dr. Rawal earned recognition for her exceptional clinical skills, ethical practice, and patient-centered care. She was also actively involved in the Celiac Disease Program and served as the Director of the Eosinophilic GI Disorders Program, making significant contributions to the care of patients with celiac disease and food allergy-related gastrointestinal conditions.
Dr. Rawal has an impressive track record in both clinical practice and academic contributions. She is proficient in advanced procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, manometry studies, pH impedance studies, PEG placements, and liver biopsies. Since returning to India in 2018, Dr. Nidhi Rawal has continued to make a mark in her field while serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at her alma mater. She is actively involved in directing the Fellowship Research Curriculum, demonstrating her dedication to mentoring the next generation of medical professionals.
